Ann Liguori is a groundbreaker in the realm of sports media. Her famous firsts include being the first woman to host a sports call-in talk show on the first all-sports radio station, WFAN-New York for over 20 years. She now serves as WFAN’s tennis and golf correspondent, as well as for the CBS Sports Radio Network.

‘Sports Innerview with Ann Liguori’ is one of the longest-running sports series, owned, hosted and produced by a woman.

In 2001, she was the first woman in sports media to receive the Headliner’s Award from the Association for Women in Communication. She also received the Debbie Gibson Girls Humanitarian Award in 2012, and the L.A. Daily News named her as one of the top 40 women in sports media in the last 40 years in 2012.

A prolific writer, she is the author of, “A Passion for Golf, Celebrity Musings About the Game,” which she used to create an audio book, “A Passion for Life, Celebrity Musings from the Fairways.” Ann writes a weekly column for www.wfan.com, as well as for Hamptons Magazine, huffingtonpost.com and hamptons.com. ‘Sports Innerview with Ann Liguori’ airs on WPPB 88.3 FM every Saturday between 9 and 10 a.m., EST, as well as worldwide on www.peconicpublicbroadcasting.org.

Ann is a media and marketing consultant for Independent Group Home Living (IGHL), and a motivational speaker and corporate spokesperson. Ann founded the Ann Liguori Foundation to raise money for cancer care and prevention, hosting the Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic annually. To date, the tournaments have raised more than $1.3 million for various organizations including the American Cancer Society. The Ann Liguori Foundation also funds nutrition and fitness education assemblies for youth camps and schools on the East End of Long Island.

A University of South Florida (USF) graduate, Ann serves on the USF Foundation Board. In memory of her late brother Jim, she has established an endowed scholarship in the College of Arts & Sciences. Ann also sits on the Board of the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association (MGWA) and the Women’s Advisory Board of the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center. She is an Advisory Board Member for the Doonbeg Golf Club in Ireland, and has served on the Board of Trustees for the National Academy of TV Arts and Sciences.

Even with all of these commitments, Ann still finds time to participate in numerous celebrity and charity golf tournaments, as well.
